A man is facing copyright charges over illegal video-taping of movies shown at a drive-in cinema in Sydney.

A man has been charged with a string of copyright offences after he was allegedly found recording new-release movies with a video camera at a western Sydney drive-in.
The 26-year-old man was arrested at his home in Broad Street, Prospect at about 4.45pm (AEDT) on Friday, police said.
Police allege that on numerous occasions over the past five months, the man recorded several new release movies at the drive-in. Read More »

In a landmark case that could stop pirates in their tracks, leading ISP iiNet has formally defended itself against claims by movie studios that it willingly permitted customers to download movies illegally.
